Program: Professional Science Masters in Health Care Administration

This graduate program is designed for a working professional who desires to enter the healthcare arena as an administrator, or a healthcare professional who wishes to advance professionally within the healthcare system. Graduates of this program will have an advanced administrative understanding of the healthcare system, complexity of healthcare delivery, legal and ethical issues in healthcare, basic accounting, management and quantitative methods used in the healthcare setting, as well as quantitative and qualitative approaches to create effective administrative outcomes for healthcare delivery to diverse populations.

Program: BACHELOR'S , MASTER'S
Approved by the Kansas Board of Regents in 1985, the emphasis in long-term care administration may be completed by both undergraduates and graduate students. Students completing the Emphasis are eligible to take the examination to become licensed as an Adult Care Home Administrator in Kansas.

Undergraduate study
The program is offered in conjunction with the Secondary Major in Gerontology, and may be combined with any disciplinary (departmental) major available at Kansas State University. The program may be completed in 30 credit hours. 

Post-Baccalaureate and Graduate Study
Students who already have earned a bachelor's degree may complete the Emphasis in Long-Term Care Administration in conjunction with the Graduate Emphasis in Gerontology, or as a non-degree program. The Graduate Emphasis may be combined with any graduate degree program available at Kansas State University.
