Mission Statement of Long Term Care Education

The mission of Long Term Care Education, Chapel Hill is to facilitate excellence in the training and continuing education of long term care administrators.

This is sought through maintaining an informational website and offering distance learning courses in:

These cores of knowledge each consist of the five following knowledge areas known today as the NAB Domains of Practice for Nursing Home Administrators and the NAB Domains of Practice for Residential Care / Assisted Living Administrators:

 

  1. organizational management
  2. human resources
  3. finance
  4. environment
  5. resident care

Long Term Care Education, Chapel Hill provides instruction covering these two knowledge bases through development of courses, texts, study materials and manuals employing internet, email, regular mail, FAX and telephone communication between each course participant and the instructor (Dr. James E. Allen).

Long Term Care Education, Chapel Hill is the non-university related individual work of Dr. James E. Allen in the field of long term care education.
